Czech representation team in aerobatics has acquired incredible 53 medals in the period of last 15 years from particular World Championships and European Championships, including the two World Champion Awards as well as golden success in the team competition. The leader of the Czech representation team is currently Ing. Stanislav Bajzik, who is responsible for making the team ready for particular competitions. He himself is the main referee of the prestigious Red Bull Air Race from 2006. In this respect it is important to emphasize the fact that the financial support of Czech aerobatics is not as well established as with other teams from UK, France, Russia and USA; however, our pilots are able to compete and excel on the world level irrespectively.
Aerobatics divides into 3 categories, with the following composition of Czech acrobatic teams in each section:
| Categories |
Aerobatics on hydro-gliders: Miroslav Červenka, Jan Rozlivka, Přemysl Vávra |
Advanced Radim Bagar, Petr Kopfstein, Marek Hyka, Martin Vecko |
Unlimited Jan Adamec, Miroslav Červenka, Jan Rozlivka, Petr Kopfstein, Marek Hyka |
In 2009 during the AeroGames in Torino, Italy our pilots did not disappoint again and brought new medals. In the category aerobatics on hydro-gliders Přemysl Vávra won the 4th place. In the unlimited category Martin Šonka (who is the only Czech representative in the prestigious Red Bull Race) finished on the 5th place. During the World Championship that took place in the Czech Republic, the team with members Jan Rozlivka, Přemysl Vávra a Miroslav Červenka has defended amazing 2nd place. Overall Jan Rozlivka won the 3rd place in the obligatory acrobatic composition. During the European Championships in the Advanced category the team of Petr Kopfstein, Marek Hyka a Martin Vecko won the 3rd place.
